Ed Spence
A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Ed Spence has been in love with black and white photography since his parents gave him his first camera in 1957. After decades of making prints in the traditional darkroom, he has become interested in digital imagery and occasionally even makes a color print.
His photographic training has been through workshops with Howard Bond, Bruce Barnbaum, and Alan Ross. His formal education was in German language and in music performance practice. He has played freelance trombone with many orchestras and chamber ensembles and currently plays with the Westwinds Brass Band in Lubbock.
Ed serves as president of the West Texas Photographic Society of Lubbock. Email: eddiestlmo@prodigy.net
